IELTS Speaking Mock Test

For Examiners

The speaking component consists of 3 parts and takes 11 to 14 minutes overall:

• Part 1: 4 - 5 minutes
  • introduction
  • general questions
• Part 2: 1 minute for preparation, 1 - 2 minutes for speech, 1 minute for questions
  • preparation to talk on a given cue card
  • speech
  • questions in regard to the preceding speech
• Part 3: 4 - 5 minutes
  • questions related to the cue card in part 2

Your tasks are

• placing numbers the candidate tells you in the Topics & Cue Cards section below
• keeping time
• in part 1 and 3, asking questions from the list below along with the candidate's statement
• in part 2, asking 1 or 2 of your original question(s) about the candidate's speech
• providing feedback based on fluency, vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation
